While wooden paneling and standard snack bar fare has brought NJ bowlers to the Fair Lawn bowling alley for years, the venue’s grand reopening will transform the bowling alley into a mega fun spot for both kids and adults.

Bowlero Fair Lawn, a brand-new center with 32 backlight bowling lanes and HD video walls, is being revealed to the public on March 31. Head there with the fam for one free game of bowling, a free shoe rental and a $5 arcade card. You’ll get to try your luck in giveaways, too. While you can RSVP online, it doesn’t guarantee a lane, so be sure to get there early.

There’s more to do than rack up strikes (or gutter balls), though. The kids will have a blast exploring the new deluxe arcade, where they’ll be some of the first to play these newly-installed classic and modern games. And yes, old favorites like air hockey still remain.

After working up a sweat in the arcade, grab some delish bowler fuel off the BOWLED menu, which features signature items like the Coney Mega Dog (a two-foot-long chili cheese dog topped with diced onions and mustard) and the Supreme French Fry Sampler (2.5 pounds of fries that come in flavors like garlic parm and bacon chicken ranch).

While they’re munching away, head to the bar and lounge for a cocktail. If you’ve visited before, you won’t even recognize the old space, thanks to the Instaworthy, retro-inspired new decor. Try the massive Dunk Tank, a 123-ounce fishbowl for sharing with your squad. Or, stick to beer (when in a bowling alley, right?)

Bowlero Fair Lawn is located at 22-22 Maple Ave. in Fair Lawn. The grand opening is from 11 am-2 pm. For more information, call 201-797-5400 or visit the Bowlero website. This is the third NJ Bowlero after North Brunswick and Wallington.
