Kids ages 8 to 12 can step into the shoes of a journalist with the Young Reporters Club program at the Wicoff House.
Children will delve into Plainsboro’s history, exploring events like the town’s incorporation in 1919, the “alien invasion” panic of 1938, and how Plainsboro was impacted by significant national and global events such as World War II and 9/11.
Students will learn how these events connect to the present-day while developing research and writing skills. They will interview important or influential figures in Plainsboro, gaining unique insights into the town’s past and present.
By the end of the program, their articles will be published in a special museum journal, and one outstanding article will be selected for publication in the Plainsboro Reporter.
The program costs $45.
