May 13 marks the 40th anniversary of The World Series of Birding, which is birding with purpose. From midnight to midnight, birders throughout the Atlantic Flyway and beyond will be looking and listening for as many bird species as they can identify.
The 2023 World Series of Birding is a day of good birding, friendly competition and fun. Whether you travel the state for a full 24 hours or simply look out the window or explore your yard or neighborhood park, set the day aside for the enjoyment of birds.

Once you register and create a team, you can raise money and awareness to protect the birds we all treasure. Compete in the Bird Conservation Challenge or take a more casual approach by being a New Jersey Audubon Ambassador.
