Description
Aug. 26 is Women’s Equality Day, designated by Congress as the annual observance of the certification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920, which granted women the right to vote - so celebrate this historic achievement on Saturday, Aug. 27, at a free summer festival and beer garden.
The Alice Paul Institute (API) will celebrate Women’s Equality Day at its national historic landmark, Paulsdale, from 12 - 5 pm.
The local female-owned Forgotten Boardwalk Brewery will feature a pop-up beer garden on-site during the event. Guests will be required to show proof of I.D. to enter the garden. Beverages are allowed inside the garden only.
Hen & Hatch and other food trucks will also be on-site for guests to purchase from throughout the day.
Family-friendly activities will include sack races, arts and crafts, lawn games and guided tours of the exhibit at Paulsdale.
Guests will also be encouraged to walk through the vendor fair that will feature curated women-owned businesses and organizations.
