Winter Wonderland Before Time at Edelman Fossil Park & Museum

Celebrate the season with a prehistoric twist.

Every weekend in December, EFM will be decked out in dinosaur-themed holiday décor for its limited-time experience, Winter Wonderland Before Time.

Visitors will enjoy family fun, featuring activities like an indoor snowball frenzy, campfire storytime, dinosaur ‘snow’ digs and ornament-making, paired with festive treats and seasonal flavors at the Quarry Grounds Café.

Additionally, families can join Dino Claws (and Friends!) for a series of special holiday mornings on Sundays, December 7, 14 and 21. Guests can enjoy a festive gathering filled with breakfast favorites, creative ornament-making, and fun photo opportunities with the museum’s prehistoric crew.

Guests will also hear from Dr. Kenneth Lacovara, the paleontologist who discovered Dreadnoughtus, one of the largest dinosaurs ever found, as he shares stories from the prehistoric world.
