Explore the New Jersey Pine Barrens with a guided tour of historic Whitesbog Village.
A docent will share interesting historical information about the farm workers and the life they led.
You will tour buildings that were used during the blueberry and cranberry industries hey-day and much more.
Included is a mile walk on a flat sandy road out to the blueberry fields and cranberry bogs.
Next up is a visit to Brendan T. Byrne State Forest for a short nature walk around Pakim Pond to experience the history and local flora and fauna.
Portable restrooms will be the only bathroom facilities available.
Bring a packed lunch, snacks and drinks for the day in a small cooler as there will be no opportunities to purchase food.
