The Libby Prison Minstrels celebrate our veterans through songs, humors and stories. So much of historical American music is recognizable today as it spans many different conflicts and generations.

The organization represents Union officers who were POWs in Richmond’s most famous prison during the American Civil War. Several officers in Libby Prison formed a band to entertain the weary, sick and forsaken souls of their comrades.
