Ventnor City Polar Plunge and Winter Festival

The Ventnor City Polar Plunge, which is sponsored by the Ventnor Business Association (VBA) with support from the City of Ventnor Special Events Office, is an annual event held at the Newport Avenue Beach at 1 pm on January 1.

For 2025 there is a new Family Winter Festival post-plunge at the St. James Memorial Hall located on the corner of Atlantic and Newport avenues. The festival will run from 12-5 pm.  It will include food trucks from Di’s Dogs and Burgers and Las Olas Taqueria as well as indoor food vendors from Florida Cold Cuts and PJ Buckets. A hot chocolate/coffee cart from Nucky’s Speakeasy will provide plenty of hot beverages. There will be inflatable sports games for the kids to play. DJ Scot Rainear will be providing the music. There will be a chili cookoff between the Ventnor City police and fire departments; all proceeds from the cookoff will benefit each department’s benevolent association.
