Join Teacher/Naturalist Dorothy Smullen for an indoor and outdoor workshop to discover the challenges of identifying trees in winter.
Deciduous trees without their leaves can easily be identified using their twigs. Using loupes, ID keys and sample twigs, you will identify many common species from central New Jersey with basic twig vocabulary.
Weather permitting, you will walk the trails to study the bark patterns of trees.
The cost of the program is $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
Registration is required by 4 pm January 10 via Eventbrite.
