February 4 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Default Event Image

Donald Nally and The Crossing will find out on February 2 if they will win their fourth Grammy award; they are once again nominated for Best Choral Performance for their album Ochre, featuring the music of Ayanna Woods, George Lewis and Caroline Shaw.

On Tuesday, February 4, the choir performs David Lang’s celebrated poor hymnal at Princeton’s McCarter Theatre Center, inside the Richardson Auditorium.

Then on Friday, February 7, the group returns home to Chestnut Hill in PA for a concert featuring the world premiere of Sebastian Currier’s Mysterium and the North American premiere of Folio by Linda Catlin Smith. Mysterium is a 35-minute work for choir and electronics with soprano solo, exploring the connections and disconnections between the cosmos and our human experience through juxtaposed texts by renowned Dutch physicist Robbert Dijkgraaf and prominent novelist Pia de Jong, who are husband and wife.
