CareSparc Community Connections’ Annual Sustainable Health and Wellness Village (SHWV) Festival Tour returns to New Jersey to celebrate 10 years of providing access to care for people of all ages across the state.

The multi-city SHWV Festival Tour is New Jersey’s only comprehensive health and wellness festival that provides access to healthcare services, information and resources to residents, aiming to advance health equity and improve positive public health outcomes for underserved and underrepresented communities.

At the festival, New Jersey residents can enjoy family activities, experience live entertainment featuring local and regional artists while connecting with primary care providers and specialists, receive free eye exams and eyeglasses, health screenings, vaccinations, fresh produce, and physician-led education and resources on maternal, infant, child, and senior health.

The SHWV Festival will feature physicians, nurses, community resources, and public health-based staff from numerous healthcare facilities, federally qualified community health centers (FQHCs), local and regional providers, county service agencies, and local/county health departments. The SHWV Festival leverages the power of arts and culture to create a holistic wellness experience. By incorporating a variety of artistic expressions, the festival aims to engage attendees on a deeper level, fostering a sense of community and well-being.

The 2024 SHWV Festival Tour presenting sponsor is Johnson & Johnson. It will occur at three locations in September and October:

New Brunswick: Alice Jennings Archibald Park, September 14, 10 am – 6 pm
Newark: Branch Brook Park at Prudential Concert Grove, September 21, 10 am – 6 pm
Atlantic City: Showboat Hotel, October 5, 10 am – 6 pm
