DESCRIPTION

The Small Explorers program has continued to grow in popularity, so we are adding a third session starting this month! Sessions are offered on the 3rd weekend of each month - Friday at 2 pm, and Saturday at 10 am and 12 noon. Special thanks to PNC for supporting the expansion of this early learning program!

October’s Small Explorers program theme is Land of Pines/conservation. We’ll read "Tall Tall Tree” by Anthony D. Fredericks, then visit the “Preserving the Pinelands” exhibit. Back in the classroom, families can try painting with pine needles, investigate a tree touch-box, and learn about the animals who live in the pines. This free program is offered at 2 pm on Friday, and 10 am and 12 pm on Saturday. Small Explorers is designed for children 6 months to 5 years old and their caregiver. Space is limited, reservations are required. Visit the Museum's website and complete the registration form, then email to Kerry.Scott@sos.nj.gov to reserve your spot. Reservation requests must be received by 10:00 am the Friday before the program in order for staff to confirm space availability.
