Sesame Place Philadelphia 45th Birthday Celebration

Sesame Place Philadelphia will officially kick off its 45th Birthday Celebration this weekend with the debut of the park’s birthday-themed entertainment and attractions, including the new Sesame Street Birthday Parade.

The park’s 45th Birthday Kick-Off Party, included with park admission, will feature a special performance from everyone’s favorite furry friends, party games, birthday crafts, and giveaways.

At 10 am, pick up a free Sesame Street-themed birthday hat and a balloon near the Sunny Day Carousel. Free Sesame Place birthday stickers will be available at Mr. Hooper’s Gift Shop and the Sesame Place Store. Giveaways are first-come, first-served, while supplies last.

The 45th Birthday Spectacular starts at 10:30 am. Gather at Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Stage for a very special performance from everyone’s favorite furry friends to kick off the 45th Birthday Celebration!

Birthday Party Games take place from 10:45 am to 1 pm. Groove to music and play fun backyard party games.

Birthday Arts & Crafts take place from 11 am to 1 pm at the Sesame Place Party Room, where kids can make their own works of art and wish the park a happy birthday.

The new Elmo Birthday pin and the new 2025 Ambassador Exclusive pin series will be available for trade at the park’s first Pin Trading Event of the season, from 12 am to 2 pm. Season Pass Members exclusively can trade from 11 am to 12 pm. Additional pin trading opportunities will be available at retail locations throughout the park.

Season Pass Members can stop by the Sesame Place Party Room to receive their April Reward, a Sesame Place pencil, from 1-3 pm. Giveaway is first-come, first-served, while supplies last.

At 3 pm, line the streets for the new Sesame Street Birthday Parade, which has three show-stopping performances, including the interactive “Birthday Shuffle” song and dance.

Although the birthday party kickoff takes place from 10 am to 6 pm on April 26, the party will continue all spring and summer, through September 7. Ongoing birthday fun includes birthday storytime, character meet-and-greets, the Furry Friends Birthday Dance Party, Dine with Elmo & Friends Birthday Bash, birthday-themed merchandise, new birthday funnel cake and birthday Dippin’ Dots, and more special events to be announced.
