Description
Around the turn of the 20th century, scientific disciplines increasingly shifted to molecular and behavioral studies, and the divide between scientists and “gentlemen naturalists” became more firmly entrenched. This exhibition explores how academically trained artist and New Jersey resident Robert Bruce Horsfall (1869-1948) negotiated these changing dynamics while working for scientists and natural history museums across the Northeast. MUSEUM HOURS: T-F, 10am- 4:30pm. Sat-Sun, Noon-5pm. 1st Tues of most months, 10am-9pm. The museum is closed Mondays, major holidays, and the month of August. FREE Admission.
