Science Under the Stars: Why Do We Believe the Big Bang Theory?

January 25 @ 4:15 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Guest speaker Dr. Tony Rothman, retired, taught at Princeton University and the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.

In everyday speech, we use the word “theory” to mean any idea that pops into our head. When scientists use the word, it means something very different. The Big Bang theory, which describes the beginning of our cosmos, has now been confirmed by thousands of observations for over a century. Dr. Rothman will present the main pillars of the theory, discuss some unanswered questions of current research and will try to answer any of your lingering questions about the Big Bang.

Reserve your seat for free lecture.
