Description

Native trees, shrubs and wildflowers will be available for sale during the Scherman Hoffman Nature Center’s annual Fall Native Plant Sale.

Native plants benefit pollinators, such as bees and hummingbirds, as well as the caterpillars upon which both resident and migratory birds depend.

Plants available for sale include Joe Pye Weed, Hairy Beardtongue, Cranberry Bush Viburnum, Buttonbush, Winterberry, Steeplebush, Lowbush Blueberry, Grey Birch, Serviceberry, Eastern Magnolia, Sweet Pepperbush, New England Aster, New York Ironweed, Turtlehead, Woodbine clematis/Virgin’s Bower and Boneset.

The New Jersey Invasive Species Task Force will also be on hand to discuss ways you can remove invasive, non-native plant species.
