Scan-Fest is an all-day celebration of Scandinavia at its best, where you'll discover the customs, the history and the ethnic variety of the six Nordic nations: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

There will be four performance stages featuring performers like the Skansen Children's Club folk dancers, Swedish jazz and fiddling; old Viking games and sports; jigs and reels; a magician; Hans Christian Andersen stories; a storyteller; face painting; crafts; genealogy; demos; a contest arena and combat field; the annual Wife Carrying contest; vendors; and lots of traditional food.

Tickets are $11 in advance; at the gate, admission is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors, and free for kids under 12. Orders received after Sept. 1 will not be filled. But, if you come dressed in authentic folk dress they'll let you in for free!
