Portugal Day by SolMar will celebrate its 28th edition on June 6, 7 and 8 in Newark’s vibrant Ironbound neighborhood.
The cultural festival includes lots of Portuguese food, vibrant musical performances, social initiatives, and artistic and educational collaborations with institutions such as the Newark Museum of Art, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), East Side High School, and Reading Partners, an organization dedicated to improving literacy by connecting volunteers with students.
The festival takes place along Ferry and Niagara streets.
Hours are 6 pm to midnight on Friday, 12 pm to 2 am on Saturday, and 12-10 pm on Sunday.
