Kids can play and learn at the 35th Annual New Jersey Home & Garden Show. There will be balloon animals and old-fashioned games like bean bag and ring toss, tic-tac-toe, and a mini fishing pond. Children can embellish and color an unfinished wood cutout that they can take home.
After seeing five glorious gardens in bloom, children can meet feature speaker Don Engebretson, The Renegade Gardener™. The landscape designer and award-winning garden writer will suggest how to interest children in gardening. The focus of his presentation to all visitors will be “Design Secrets to Achieve a Beautiful Yard & Garden.”
In addition to hearing tips on choosing colors from color consultant Cindy Gelormini, The Paint Diva, and learning from Master Electrician Adam Corbin, parents will gather ideas and see products from more than 100 remodelers, contractors, interior designers, landscapers and kitchen and bath designers – mostly from locally-owned businesses.
In addition, handcrafted work of artisans will be for sale in the show’s Marketplace.
Tickets bought in advance are $10 for age 16+. There is no charge for children 15 and under accompanied by an adult. Day-of tickets are $12 for age 16 and older. Credit card fees apply.
