Moving Beyond Abuse 5K Charity Run. Walk. Wag.

Support free and confidential services for victim-survivors of domestic violence and their children in Middlesex County. The worry of leaving a beloved pet behind to escape abuse is a big reason some victim-survivors choose not to seek shelter. Women Aware wants to change that by transitioning to a pet-friendly shelter.

This is a USATF-Certified 5K flat course. Runners, walkers, kids and pets are welcome.

For those who wish to run or walk a shorter course, those who want to go with their dogs, or those who simply support Women Aware by attending, there is an optional one-mile Charity Walk.

Register in advance of race day (up to 11:59 pm on October 8) and save $10. Advance registration is $40. The first 100 registrants will receive a swag bag.

Registration on race day will be $50. Free for children 11 and under. There is no charge for leashed furry companions.

After the race, Goldenseal the Band will perform live, plus there will be children’s activities and a fall photo backgrop.
