Experience a vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture at the FolkLIVE: Raritan Native American Heritage Celebration and PowWow.
Presented by the Redhawk Native American Arts Council in partnership with the Arts Institute of Middlesex County, this two-day cultural festival officially kicks off Middlesex County’s 2025 FolkLIVE event series. FolkLIVE celebrates global traditions and local talent through music, dance, storytelling, and the arts.
Recognized as the largest Native American gathering in New Jersey, this festival brings together over 1,000 Native American artists, performers, and educators from across the Americas to the original homeland of the Raritan Lenape Indians.
Event highlights include:
Traditional storytelling and cultural demonstrations
Dance exhibitions and live music
Authentic Native cuisine such as buffalo burgers, venison stew, and corn soup
A marketplace with 40 booths featuring handmade jewelry, art, crafts, and more
Represented tribes including the Lakota, Navajo, Mohawk, Cherokee, Aztec, Hawaiian, and others
Tickets are $15 for adults; or $10 for kids ages 6-10, seniors 65+ and students with ID; and free for kids 5 and younger.
