The restaurant menu will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a special dish that guides guests along the global path he once traveled: King’s Jambalaya ($75; serves 2-4) with BBQ fried chicken, Jollof rice, fish curry, collards, cornbread and peanut chimichurri.
The dish’s elements are inspired by the many places MLK went, leaving behind his message of peace and equal rights:
Atlanta, Georgia – Aleck’s Barbecue Heaven
New York City – The Sheraton Hotel
Memphis, Tennessee – Mason Temple
Montgomery, Alabama – Bus Boycott
Washington, DC – MLK Memorial
Bimini Bahamas – MLK wrote his final speech
Ghana – Celebrated the country’s independence from Great Britain
India – To study the philosophy of nonviolence to honor his hero Mahatma Gandhi
The menu will be available from January 13 to 20.
