At most chili cookoffs, there's a panel of judges who choose the best chili. In Maplewood, you're the judge. So even if you aren't making a chili, a $25 tasting pass will be your ticket to vote for your favorite chilis and help crown a champion.

Think you make a mean chili? This is your chance to find out how your best meat or vegetarian pot of red stacks up against the competition, as judged by a jury of your peers. Also featuring a kids competition for chili chefs age 7-15!

The open tasting and voting is from 2-4:30 pm. At 5 pm, the mayor will host the awards ceremony.

The Maplewood Chili Cookoff is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide healthy, nutritious food to local families who need it most. All proceeds will benefit The MEND hunger relief network of Essex County.
