Maple Sugaring for Scouts

Age recommendation: 5-10
Come with your scout group and together you’ll learn why you can collect sap only during this time, how to identify maples and other trees in the winter, and how boiling increases solution concentrations to create syrup.
The one-hour session includes a hike, experiment, and checking on tapped trees.
Open to scouts from kindergarten to fifth grade.
The entire program is outside.
Maximum of 15 scouts/siblings combined participants (plus any/all adults wishing to attend).
Register for your troop's preferred timeslot through Community Pass. Times are 8:30 am, 10 am, 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
The cost is $90 for residents of Middletown and $108 for non-residents.
