Learn how to identify a maple tree. Discover the history of syrup making and how technology has changed the way sap has been gathered over the centuries. We’ll check Tenafly Nature Center’s tapped tree and observe how sap is boiled down to make fresh maple syrup, a sweet treat for all to taste!

All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Rain or shine. Dress warmly; the program will take place indoors and outdoors. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. No strollers please.
