The free, family-friendly event will feature dragon and lion dances, live performances by local Asian cultural organizations, wheel spinning for prizes, red envelope surprises and more cultural fun.
The local organizations performing at the celebration include: Asian American Dragon & Lion Dance, Woorigarak Korean Cultural Arts Center, Japanese-American Association of New Jersey, University of the Philippines Alumni & Friends Rondalla, Hope Sing and Dance Art Troupe, Royal K-Pop, Fort Lee Chinese American Community Association, Hea Sun Jung Korean Traditional Dance Academy and St. Mary’s Line Dance Ministry.
The Lunar New Year celebration will take place in the Family Entertainment Court located on Level 1 near Entrance 11 and Planet Playskool. The court has been adorned with an eight-foot high and 14.6-foot-long snake exhibition ideal for photo moments to mark the Year of the Snake, which symbolizes reflection, growth and personal transformation.
