Downtown Montclair’s Lackawanna Station, has sat vacant for the last decade after Pathmark closed its doors in 2015 – until now! Starting next week, the space is being transformed into a bustling holiday market, courtesy of New Jersey real estate investment company, BDP Holdings, in partnership with Montclair Flea.
From Saturday, November 30, through January 19, 2025, Lackawanna Station will house a rotating lineup of 175+ vendors and food trucks on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am – 6 pm.
During opening weekend, expect a wide selection of offerings from local makers and retailers, including Afterglow Vintage, Bookhaven Books, The Giraffe’s Heart, Jersey Collective and Marlie Bakes Cake.
Opening weekend will feature sets from DJ April and DJ Prince Hakim.
Art will continue to be emphasized throughout the holiday season with art and sculptures by local artists including Shaun Killman, Charlie Spademan, Gardenship and more on display throughout the space. As the project continues to develop, artists from around the world will be invited in to create murals throughout the building, with the first mural going up around December 15.
More details will be announced about special weekend activities throughout the season.
