JARANA New Jersey, the Peruvian restaurant inside American Dream, is expanding its offerings with the launch of its “Jaraneando” Sunday Brunch.
The menu will feature Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Peruvian flavors.
The inaugural brunch menu, crafted by Corporate Executive Chef Jesus Delgado, includes Seco Benedicto, a Peruvian nod to eggs Benedict featuring shredded short rib over tacu-tacu, a seared bean-and-rice patty, topped with two poached eggs and aji amarillo hollandaise.
Steak & Eggs Anticuchero is a 12-ounce New York strip marinated, grilled and served with chimichurri roasted potatoes, a fried egg and huacatay sauce.
Some classic brunch dishes, such as avocado toast and chicken and waffles, have from a Peruvian twist. Subtly salty queso andino tops the Avocado Toast with avocado mash and a fried egg, and a waffle made with pumpkin-and-sweet-potato picaron dough accompanies the crispy fried chicken in the Waffle & Chicken dish.
Brunch also offers traditional dishes, including the Leche de Tigre Trio, a seafood mix sampler featuring octopus, shrimp and calamari; as well as the shareable Bandeja Jarana, a platter of cebicheria favorites, including pulpo al olivo, scallop chalaca, cebiche limeño and coctel de camarones.
Cocktails include El Tigre Rojo, a Peruvian-inspired bloody mary mixed with rocoto leche de tigre and garnished with fried calamari, pork belly and shrimp.
There is also a Mimosa Kit that includes a bottle of champagne accompanied by a selection of juices and fresh fruits.
The bar overlooking the terrace will offer an extensive array of signature Pisco-based cocktails, alongside handcraft drinks and a curated selection of wines and beers to add to your brunch experience.
Brunch starts January 12, and will continue on Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm.
