Holiday Events at Sesame Place Philadelphia

Sesame Place® Philadelphia is celebrating before the 2025 season ends with special Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s Eve celebration.

The park is currently open on select days through Sunday, January 4.

Festivities include:

Hanukkah Celebration
December 19 – 22
Guests can celebrate the Festival of Lights with a Menorah Lighting Ceremony, Hanukkah Storytime with Baby Bear, the Hanukkah activity station, and Meet & Greets with Baby Bear.

Santa’s ‘Twas the Night Celebration
December 24
Guests are invited to a dazzling Christmas Eve celebration at the Sesame Street Neighborhood for a spirited send-off for Santa Claus on the night of his Big Ride!

Kwanzaa Celebration
December 26 – January 1
Each night of Kwanzaa, guests are invited to join their favorite furry friends for Sesame Place’s Kwanzaa Celebration, including a Kinara Lighting Ceremony and a Kwanzaa Storytime experience.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks
December 31
Sesame Place Philadelphia will ring in 2026 with its dazzling “C…is for Celebrate!” New Year’s Eve Fireworks on December 31. For an extra special treat, guests can celebrate at The Count’s Countdown to New Year’s Celebration Dine at Dine with Elmo & Friends, available from December 26 through January 4.

Guests can enjoy limited-time activities, entertainment, and treats, including decorating cookies at Cookies and Cocoa with Cookie Monster, meeting Santa Claus at his Furry Workshop, singing and dancing along to the Furry Friends Holiday Dance Party, shopping for the perfect presents for loved ones at the Sesame Place Store, and enjoying scrumptious specialty snacks.
