The Arts Institute of Middlesex County is kicking off its new speaker series, “Hey Coach!, which invites residents to hear firsthand from the county’s most accomplished coaches and sports leaders. This engaging discussion will explore the role of athletics in shaping local communities.
The first event in this series will feature Frank Malta, East Brunswick’s Supervisor of Athletics; and Kevin Brady, East Brunswick’s Girls’ Soccer and Softball coach, who will discuss East Brunswick’s impressive sports legacy, including over 300 softball victories, 400 soccer wins, and Coach Brady’s experience coaching Olympian Champion Heather O’Reilly, a three-time Olympic gold medalist and a three-time World Cup medalist with the U.S. Women’s National Team.
This free speaker series complements the Hometown Pride exhibition at the Cornelius Low House Museum. The exhibition highlights nearly 100 years of Middlesex County’s sports history through memorabilia from local high schools, Middlesex College, and Rutgers University. It runs now through December 31.
