The Hemophilia Association of New Jersey (HANJ) welcomes walkers and runners to register for the Hemophilia 1 Mile Walk/5K Run. The event will take place on Sunday, September 26th at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center. Day-of-event registration will begin at 8 AM and the race will start at 9 AM. All registrants will receive an event T-shirt and all finishers will receive a medal.
HANJ Executive Director, Stephanie Lapidow stated, "Our Hemophilia 1 Mile Walk/5K Run offers something for everyone. The day will be complete with prizes for top finishers and a post-race party featuring a professional DJ, fully catered lunch, and a bounce house for kids.” The event is a Paul Miller Certified Grand Prix (500 points) and is a flat, USTAF certified course using RFID Chronotrack systems for timing. This event is one of the organization’s largest fundraisers; the money raised with this event funds the HANJ mission which provides hope and much-needed assistance to the hemophilia community. The dollars raised through this event will support these very important initiatives:
- Emergency Financial Assistance
- Insurance Assistance
- Educational Programming
- Counseling Referrals
- Medic Alert Identifications
- Member Advocacy
Stephanie adds, “These crucial fundraising dollars are especially important this year as we attempt to recover from canceled fundraising events due to Covid-19.”
