The Ocean County YMCA invites families to Healthy Kids Day, a free and fun-filled event that kicks off a summer season of active play, learning and connection.
The Y’s signature annual event is open to all and will feature a day of kid-friendly activities, safety and wellness resources, and opportunities to connect as a family.
Healthy Kids Day will offer families a chance to explore summer possibilities at the Y while enjoying hands-on activities and community resources.
Parents can learn about YMCA summer camps and swim lesson options while kids take part in free activities like kickball, cornhole, facepainting, and decorating a sign for the Y garden. Families can also enjoy time together in the pool or on the basketball court.
A variety of local partners will be on hand with health and safety resources, including the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, offering child ID cards and car seat checks, and the Ocean County Health Department, providing nutrition education and health screenings.
Families can also connect with organizations like Robert Wood Johnson, Ocean Partnership for Children, the Ocean County Library, ABA Centers of America, New York Life Insurance, and the Toms River Fire Company.
To keep the fun going, WJRZ Radio will be spinning tunes throughout the event.
Non-members are invited to tour the Y, receive a free one-week pass, and enter to win a three-month family membership.
