Two of the biggest champions for the region’s wine and Black wine community are coming together for a special new collaboration for Galentine’s Day.
Wine Garden and Kabila Events (Philly Black Wine Fest) present the 1st Galentine’s Wine Tasting Celebration.
Mother-daughter duo Nazaret Teclesambet and Favian Sutton (Wine Garden, Black Girl Magic Holiday Pop-up) and Sonia Blount (Kabila Events) invite guests for an exclusive evening of friendship, wine, music and themed fun.
The evening includes:
* Free wine samplings from female-focused and other wine vendors, including V Cellars, Strangefruit Wines, Aurora’s Vines, Cyrenity Sips and others to be announced
* Live entertainment by John Sax and DJ Lady FX
* Custom love poems on a vintage pink typewriter from WPM Typewriter Shop
* Curated photo stations
* PJ Clarke’s and Culinary Director Taylor Weldon will offer a special extended happy hour menu of select wines, select cocktails, buck-a-shuck oysters, bacon-stuffed dates with bleu cheese, Mexican street corn ribs, mini gourmet burgers, lobster rolls and mushroom toast
* Special Galentine’s Happy Hour menu of discounted PAYG bites
The Galentine’s Wine Tasting Celebration will host two sessions, from 5-7 pm and from 8-10 pm.
Tickets start at $45 general admission and $65 VIP admission. VIP includes a free glass of wine and a charcuterie spread. Save $5 on general admission and $10 on VIP admission during early bird that expires Monday, February 3, at 10 pm.
