Adults will join award–winning author, speaker, and photographer, Matthew Benson, for a presentation that will inspire you to turn your suburban lot into a thriving edible garden that supports a more local, sustainable lifestyle. The heart and soul of his book, Growing Beautiful Food, integrates seasonal observations into a field guide for backyard food growers. The book offers detailed advice for growing extraordinary crops ranging from salad greens, fruiting vegetables, tree fruit and berries to cut flowers, bees, and chickens. A few lucky participants will receive a free autographed copy of Matthew’s book! The program is sponsored by Whole Foods Market of Bridgewater and the Somerset County Park Foundation.
