ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY STARTS THE HOLIDAY SEASON

The City of Englewood kicks off the holiday season with the annual tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 1 at 7pm in front of Englewood City Hall.  Mayor Frank Huttle III is hosting the 9th Annual Englewood Tree Lighting.  The program features performances by St. Paul’s Choir School, directed by Mark Trautman and The Chorus and Tri-M Music Honor Society from Dwight Morrow High School directed, by Sandy Meltzer.  The Mayor continues the holiday tradition by inviting 160 Englewood children to the performance of The Nutcracker.

The Chabad of Englewood invites the entire community to celebrate the Festival of Lights at a public Menorah lighting ceremony. The grand Chanukah celebration will begin at 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 2nd, at City Hall in Downtown Englewood with the lighting of the large menorah followed by music and delicious, hot latkes. People of all ages will enjoy singing traditional Chanukah songs like “Rock of Ages” and “The Dreidel Song.”
