Bierman Autism Centers in New Jersey have created sensory-friendly summer events for children with autism and their families during August.
The free End of Summer Bash events will feature outdoor activities like inflatable games, bean-bag bullseye, face painting and balloon twisting, with treats.
There will be restrictions on crowds, noise, lights, etc., to make the environment comfortable for children with sensory issues. There will be space to wander, plus a designated quiet zone tent.
The events are:
Saturday, August 2, 10 am to 12 pm, 500 N. Franklin Tpke., Suite 203, Ramsey
Saturday, August 2, 10 am to 12 pm, 746 Alexander Rd., Suite 100, Princeton
Saturday, August 9, 10 am to 12 pm, 40 Christopher Way, Eatontown
Admission is free, but space is limited. Families can reserve tickets here.
