Westbridge Academy is hosting a free workshop, ‘Executive Function Skills in Action’, for special education professionals. Attendees will learn strategies and actionable steps derived from SPECT brain-based science. The presenter, Dr. ‘Buzz’ Mingin, is a national speaker and expert in helping children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional disorders. Presentation will address: • Reasons for Executive Skill Dysfunction • Process and Development of Neuroplasticity • Self-Regulation and Behavioral Management • Social Skills Development • Schoolwide Interventions This presentation will be on December 7, 2018 from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm at 60 West St. in Bloomfield and is offered as an outreach service to the community in and around Bloomfield. There is no cost for the workshop. Professionals can earn 3 CEUs. Attendees are invited to a free luncheon following the training.
