Historic Smithville Park will once again be transformed into a sanctuary of recycling, gardening, health, and wellness for Earth Fair 2023.

Enjoy guided walks through Historic Smithville Park and the Mansion.

Presenters and demonstrators will share the latest healthy and green practices in the Sustainable Living and Demonstration tents.

Visit Artisan Row, featuring upcycled and recycled goods and listen to live music in the Performance Tent and at the Beer Garden.

Burlington County Recycling will bring the Spinning Trivia Prize Wheel to test your recycling knowledge.  You can drop your small electronics, such as ear buds, computer mice, tablets, cell phones and power cords to be recycled.

New this year, you can pedal your way to a beverage with Wheelie Good Smoothies.

This event is all about recycling and reusing in the home and in the garden. You can drop off your plastic flowerpots on your way into the event.

Bring some healthy plants to share in the Plant Swap tent and take home something new.

In the Recycling & Clean Communities Tent you can view the new “Recycling Center Virtual Tour” video. You can also bring small ewaste items (mice, cables and keyboards). A Girl Scout troop will be collecting gently used, clean reusable bags to donate to a food pantry.

In the Sustainable Living Tent, in addition to learning about solar installations, you can get a good look at new electric vehicles including motorcycles and bicycles. Visitors can pick up a free native tree sapling and look at sustainable electric yard care equipment. REI will showcase sustainable outdoor gear and their outdoor adventure programs. The NJ School of Conservation, a fair newcomer, will preview their family friendly outdoor programs, such as Searching for Salamanders. The Tri-County Sustainability Alliance will offer tips on how to institute “green changes” in your community. You can also see special “glass rocks” that are made from recycled bottles and jars collected in Burlington County.

Children’s activities at the Earth Fair will include a rock-climbing wall, live animal presentations by Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge and Burlington County 4-H groups, a Pop-up Nature Center and a recycled art-making activity and parade with Spiral Q Puppet Theater.
