Music in the Somerset Hills presents an evening of French music, featuring Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem, performed by the Somerset Hills Chorus under the direction of Grammy-nominated conductor Stephen Sands.
Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem is a masterpiece of 20th-century choral music, weaving Gregorian chant with rich harmonies to create an atmosphere of profound serenity and introspection.
The performance will showcase the combined talents of the Somerset Hills Chorus, professional soloists Pamela Terry and Jonathan Woody, world-renowned organist Eric Plutz and two special guest instrumentalists.
