Description

Deal Fire Company and Jersey Shore Running Club present the Deal Trick or Trot which consists of a 4-mile road race, Harry Drazin Memorial Racewalk, a costumed pet walk and kids dashes. The event is co-hosted by Shore Saves animal rescue of Freehold.

Registration and details are at www.dealtrickortrot.com with early bird pricing in effect until the end of September.

The event kicks off at 9:30 am with the kids dashes, the 4-mile race and racewalk at 10 am (timed separately) and the pet walk follows at 10:05 am. The course is USATF-certified and professionally timed by Elite Racing Systems.

Music, a post-race BBQ and beer for participants will follow the race along with an awards ceremony including prizes for 1st 3 male runners, 1st 3 female runners, 1st 3 racewalkers and awards to top finishers in 10-year age groups as well as awards for five best human costumes, five best pet costumes (provided by The Mutt Market NJ) and best team costume.
