Culikid’s Chicken Salad Sandwich Cooking Class
Location
Virtual
Additional Information
Description
Any age and ability can learn how to make raspberry pecan chicken salad with Culikid!
Start the new year off by learning to make this easy and healthy sandwich during our virtual cooking class. While Culikid's virtual classes will be paced to be accessible for a child with special needs, they are open to everyone! All ages and abilities are welcome to join!
This recipe can be dairy-free or gluten-free with substitutes.
This class will require use of a knife for chopping celery, green onions, and pecans. All chopping can be done using a Culikid child-safe knife, which is available as an optional purchase when you register.
If your child or teen needs help using a knife, following verbal directions, staying on task, self-initiating, or using a measuring cup and spoon, we recommend adult supervision throughout the class. Otherwise, this class is something that a child or teen can do independently!
Ingredients needed include:
- Orange or plain yogurt or Greek yogurt (sub with mayo for dairy-free)
- Mayonnaise
- Chinese five-spice powder (optional)
- Salt
- Cooked chicken, cubed or shredded
- Green onion
- Celery
- Pecans
- Raspberries
- Sliced bread (can sub gluten-free bread)
Register once per household (not for each individual). Once you register, you will be sent the full supply and ingredient list as well as the Zoom meeting link. If you have any questions about the class or ingredients you can substitute, email us at info@culikid.org.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
