Chef David Burke will launch his one-of-a-kind Chef’s Table with tasting menu at Red Horse at Bernards Inn.
The tasting menu crafted exclusively by Executive Chef Chris Grare will be a six- or ten-course tasting menu of transformative dishes from the award-winning menu, seasonally inspired creations and sushi.
The Chef’s Table can be booked for an exclusive sushi omakase tasting menu as well.
Director of Operations Josh Bernstein will be hand-selecting wines by the bottle from his Wine Spectator Award-winning wine list for a superlative tasting experience.
The Chef’s Table is for groups of 8-13 guests. The large round glass-topped Chef’s Table, set in the century-old historic inn’s handsome lobby, can seat up to 13 guests. It is perfect for conversation, and in itself is a conversation piece. The eight-foot-diameter, tempered glass top is the largest ever sold in New Jersey. Beneath the glass serving as its pedestal is a stunning, inverted 100-year-old rosewood tree root. The salvaged, sustainably harvested root was discovered by Anthony Saraceno, co-owner of Real Antique Wood, while in Indonesia visiting a farm north of Java. The rosewood was spied while on an expedition for their coastal collection made from decommissioned Indonesian fishing boats.
Dinners are 6 courses for $100++ and 10 courses for $150++ per guest. Optional wine pairings are $40-$50.
