Default Event Image

Best Friends Animal Society will host the second in a series of 2025 “Bring No-Kill Home Summits” in Cherry Hill. Community members can learn how they can become catalysts for change to help New Jersey – and the country – become no-kill.

The summit will open with Best Friends Animal Society’s Chief Program Officer Marc Peralta facilitating a conversation with Co-Founders Steven Hirano and Michael Mountain, on the path forward to make New Jersey a no-kill state; followed by insightful discourse from Assembly Woman Carol Murphy on helping legislators create and support pet lifesaving policy.

Additional workshops and breakout sessions will explore how local advocates can get involved in pet lifesaving and will conclude with a networking reception.

Topics will include:
Understanding your community’s data
Local Government 101: Whom to Know and Why
Finding Common Ground in Your Local Community
Advancing New Jersey’s Cat Bill
Embrace Your Power to Make a Personal Impact
Squad Goal: How to Build Your Network to Build Lifesaving Support

The cost is $25, which includes lunch, a networking reception and a one-year Best Friends membership.

The first summit was held on February 1 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Following the Cherry Hill summit, more will be held: March 30 in Chicago; April 5 in Pomona, CA; and May 10 in Provo, Utah.
