A Very Furry Christmas Celebration

Sesame Place Philadelphia will kick off its annual holiday celebration, A Very Furry Christmas, with the magical arrival of Santa Claus on Saturday, November 16. Gather at the 1-2-3 Christmas Tree, where, after singing and dancing with Sesame Street friends, Santa Claus will illuminate the millions of twinkling lights around the park for the first time this holiday season.

Meet Santa Claus at Santa’s Furry Workshop, an interactive walk-through experience, at select times throughout the day. Santa Claus will also be available to meet at Santa’s Christmas Dine, a fun-filled feast with Santa Claus and Sesame Street friends.

In addition to Santa’s Grand Illumination, there will be shows like Elmo’s Christmas Wish, A Very Merry Sesame Street Sing-Along, the Furry Friends Holiday Dance Party, and the 1-2-3 Christmas Tree Light Show.

The park will introduce new magical snowfall moments on the Sesame Street Neighborhood throughout the day, creating an enchanting winter environment as guests meet their favorite furry friends, explore the Merry Marketplace, and toast s’mores at cozy firepits. There will be seasonal treats like savory soups,  chili bread bowls, cookie and brownie sundaes, holiday funnel cake, and a variety of flavored hot chocolates. The park will also offer an exclusive seasonal Cookie Monster Sipper Cup and an Elmo Christmas Tree Popcorn Bucket.

Park hours on November 16 are 11 am to 7 pm. Santa’s Grand Illumination begins at 5 pm at the 1-2-3 Christmas Tree.

A Very Furry Christmas takes place on select dates from November 16 to January 5, 2025.
