During the coronavirus pandemic, the country has looked to Dr. Anthony Fauci for answers on everything from risk mitigation to school safety. Now, the nation’s lead infectious disease expert will join Gov. Phil Murphy for a Facebook live chat on Thursday at 11:15 am, according to the governor’s office.

The event will be streamed on the governor’s Facebook page and many will be watching to hear what the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases says about what precautions we should be taking and how soon – if ever – life will return to normal.
New Jersey has had over 16,000 deaths related to coronavirus since the start of the pandemic and has ranked as having the highest death rate in the nation due to COVID.
Parents will definitely want to hear what Fauci has to say about our road to recovery, including how safe it really is to reopen restaurants for indoor dining, movie theaters and gyms, all of which were recently allowed to resume operations in Stage 3.
Fauci has been known to say that he thinks indoor activities are very risky, particularly when there are large amounts of people congregated together not wearing masks. Dr. Fauci has also said he doesn’t expect we’ll ever get rid of the coronavirus entirely and that life as we knew it may be back by summer 2022 if there is a vaccine and public health measures are put in place and adhered to.
