Camden’s Adventure Aquarium is celebrating all things Baby Shark with its 2nd annual Shark Summer beginning Thursday, July 25 and swimming through Monday, September 2.

Take your lil’ ones on a behind-the-scenes look at The Shark Nursery where they’ll see baby sandbar sharks and a variety of other animals new to the aquarium, plus learn how baby sharks are delivered and how they’re transferred from one place to another. “We are excited to finally announce that we have baby sandbar sharks! Since this is such a rare occurrence, we can’t wait for our guests to see them themselves,” said Sara Frias, director of marketing and sales at Adventure Aquarium.

There’ll also be opportunities to see native NJ sharks, peek at shark artifacts and get shark-themed face painting and glitter tattoos. Be sure to stop by shark shows like “It’s Feeding Time!” where you and the kids can see an Ocean Realm feed or hit the Shark Trivia game.

The first 400 guests to visit Adventure Aquarium on Monday, July 29 and Friday, August 2 will get commemorative Discovery Shark Week shark fin foam hats, and during Shark Conservation Weekend, from August 2-4, visitors will have a chance to adopt a shark and spin the prize wheel.

Adventure Aquarium is also home to the world’s longest V-shaped rope suspension bridge, which hangs above the Shark Realm exhibit. Other jaw-some features include the shark tunnel, where you’ll have a 180-degree view of the Shark Realm, the Touch A Shark exhibit and Anchor, the only hammerhead on exhibit in the US.
