UPDATE: Due to tour routing issues, Cirque du Soleil’s Livingston dates have been cancelled.

If you’ve never wowed the kids with a Cirque du Soleil show, now’s the time to reserve your seats. The show AMALUNA is coming to Livingston from June 12-July 14.

Written by Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus, AMALUNA is all about women’s voices and love. The show will take the kids to a Goddess-governed island ruled by the moon, where the queen is helping her daughter in a coming of age ceremony. When a storm causes a group of men to land there, it leads to an epic (and tumultuous) romance between the daughter and one of the men.

The name of the show is a fusion of the word “ama,” meaning mother, and luna, meaning moon. This is a prime opportunity for some quality time with your own daughter, since this magical story is all about the mother/daughter relationship. You’ll both marvel at acrobats, dancers and beyond. See artists take on gravity-defying aerial straps, uneven bars, a teeterboard and even an underwater balancing routine.

Tickets are available online starting at $45. VIP and behind the scenes experiences are also available for purchase. Livingston Mall is located at 112 Eisenhower Pkwy. in Livingston. Visit cirquedusoleil.com/amaluna for more information.
