This 2,500-square-foot fast-casual spot is beloved for inventive salads and warm bowls made with clean ingredients and house-made dressings. In addition to customizable salads, Chopt also thinks up creative, limited-time menus inspired by a place or theme. This month’s? Summer Road Trip, featuring a Key West jerk chicken salad complete with fresh jicama, lime juice and creamy habanero dressing, a Georgia summer cobb salad chock-full of peaches and blue cheese and a Tex-Mex BBQ Bowl, made with a base of warm grains topped with barbecue braised brisket.
In honor of the grand opening, Chopt is hosting Chopt Gives Day on August 14 from 11:30 am-1:30 pm and 4:30-6:30 pm. Every customer who donates to Chopt’s partner Wellness in the Schools (WITS), a nonprofit that teaches kids about healthy eating and wellness, will score a free salad. WITS is also expanding locally into five NJ schools this fall, serving more than 10,000 students in Camden and Trenton.
