Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark in the Poconos is set to open Father’s Day weekend with the launch of a new waterslide plus a host of opening weekend activities. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, opening weekend will feature scavenger hunts, live entertainment, and the opening of the new Rival Racer waterslide.

The new Rival Racer waterslide is an intense race through twists and turns on enclosed tracks. Park guests will race down the 400-foot slide which cascades 5,600 gallons of water per minute through a 54-foot vertical drop of eight closed individual chutes, which all converge at three different rallying points and at the finish line.

On June 17th, there will be a live sand-sculpture demonstration where New Jersey resident John Woodward will create his masterpiece at the resort entrance decorated with the park’s 25th-anniversary logo. On June 18th, there will be a Father’s Day competition on the FlowRider surf machine.

Also new to the waterpark in this 25th anniversary season is the park’s summer swim lessons, which will be initiated with “The World’s Greatest Swim Lesson” event on Thursday, June 22 at the Olympic Pool. Registration is limited to 50 participants, and regular 45-minute swimming lessons will continue once a week at 9 a.m. Thursdays.

The park’s existing 37 mountainside waterpark slides and rides will also be open, including Blue Nile Adventure River, Dune Runner, and Mummy’s Oasis.

Pricing for Camelback summer season passes starts at $89 with a Value Pass, valid Monday through Friday. Unlimited passes are available for $109 and grant admission seven days a week. Day tickets and group packs are also available.
