Bunny Visit Ends in Blows at an NJ Mall

Things escalated quickly after the Easter Bunny lost his grip on a little girl during her Easter photo.

UPDATE

The men responsible for the dramatic “Easter Bunny Brawl” (see below)  might be spending some time behind bars.

Jersey City police announced yesterday evening that they will be filing charges against both men.

The Easter Bunny, Kassim Charles, and the dad, Juan Jimenez-Gerrero, both of Jersey City face aggravated assault and disorderly conduct charges as a result of the fight..

Both men are currently being held in the Hudson County jail and are expected to make their first court appearance this afternoon.

After a one-year-old girl slipped out of the Easter Bunny’s grasp and fell during a visit, things got violent at the Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City on Sunday.

According to the 22-year-old who was dressed as the Easter Bunny, once the child fell off his lap, her father began verbally and physically assaulting him—resulting in the bunny taking off his gloves and fighting him.

A mall goer caught the whole thing on video and posted the altercation to his Twitter page.

Both the bunny and the father were taken to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health for minor injuries and so far no criminal charges have been filed.
